After a career in Japan-U.S. business relations, Lena decided to pursue her "artistic" side by returning to school to study graphic design. She currently works for UC Berkeley’s Alternative Media Unit and occasionally works on special projects for Berkeley City College’s Office of the President. Previously, she worked for seven years as a graphic designer at the University of California, San Francisco. Her studies in Japanese floral design (ikebana) and Japanese brush calligraphy (shodo) inspire her simple yet sophisticated and powerful elements in her designs.
